The mission of the Institute is to improve representative and direct democracy by means of deliberative citizen participation and to enhance transparent and discursive decision-making in Finland.
They do this by bringing together practitioners and researchers, organizing annual Research and Development Day, coordinating study circle and gathering information about deliberative processes in Finland.
